Ever wonder what your eternal purpose is?
God has big plans for all of us. God’s estate is huge and encompasses not only the earth but all the stars in the heavens as well. I have heard it said, that for every grain of sand that is upon earth, there is a star up in heaven. If you have the idea that after you pass from this life to the next, all you’ll be doing is floating around on clouds strumming a harp, your going to be in for a big surprise.
Paul tells us that eye has not seen nor has it even entered into the hearts of men what great things Christ has prepared for those who love him. Paul also confronts the Corinthians believers for taking each other to court saying “don’t you know you’ll be judging angels?” Isaiah 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. I Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. I Corinthians 6: 2 -3 2) Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3) Know ye not that we shall judge angels? How much more things that pertain to this life?
God created us to take care of his creation. All we have to do to enter into the Kingdom of God after we leave this world, is to believe in Jesus Christ. When we believe we become adopted into Gods household. We become heirs to all that is Christ’s. Romans 8: 14 – 17 14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17) And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Now we are told by Paul to study to show ourselves approved. That means we need to study the book of instruction God has left us. The bible. To me it was easier to understand when I learned to separate the word of truth. Consider the manual for understanding the carburetion system on an engine. The motor runs on fuel mixed with air. From Genesis through the four gospels and most of the books of Acts we are taught about the fuel only. Books that were written to the Jews for the Jews. In the books of Paul, we are taught about the air that perfects the fuel thus causing the engine to run. God takes his message of salvation to the Gentiles creating the body of Christ. Paul tells us that Abraham had two sons, one earthly the other heavenly. He also explains that the earthly were the Jews and all their promises were earthly. Christ tells them when he makes his second coming; the twelve disciples will be ruling the twelve tribes of Israel from Jerusalem . The entire Old Testament explains this, along with the four Gospels. Then in Acts chapter 9, we’re introduced to Paul, who was instructed to go a new direction to the Gentiles, and the body of Christ was born. Paul tells us we are heavenly people and our citizenship is in heaven and our rewards are heavenly. The engine doesn’t run on just fuel alone, it must have air mixed with it to function properly. If all we study are the four gospels and the Old Testament and leave Paul’s epistles out, we will never understand how important the air mixture is to the engine. We are leaving out the best half of God’s message to us. God kept some very important things hidden from mankind until Paul was called. Then the resurrected Christ revealed these hidden mysteries (secrets) to Paul to deliver them to us. Galatians 4: 21 – 31 21) Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? 22) For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a free woman. 23) But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the free Woman was by promise. 24) Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai (the law), which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. 25) For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem (the earthly Jerusalem ) which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26) But Jerusalem which is above (heavenly) is free, which is the mother of us all. 27) For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. 28) Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. 29) But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. 30) Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son; for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31) So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. From the scriptures we learn that after the tribulation period, Christ will return to earth and set up his throne in the city of Jerusalem and rule the entire earth. Satan will be locked up for 1000 years. It is here that the Jews will attain their proper status and become a nation of priest to the world. This is the promise made to them. I believe that we who are of the freewoman shall reign in the heavenly realm. As the scripture says, it has not even entered into the heart of man the wonderful things God has prepared for us.
