Christ: the mediator between us and God

I Timothy 2: 5-7  5) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6) Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 7) Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.   Here Paul testifies of the only way to enter into everlasting life, is through Jesus Christ.  Who taught him a new gospel to give to us Gentiles in faith and in truth.  God never reveal these truths to anyone else, but Paul.  Even Peter, as great a man of God as he was, shortly before his death, had this to say about Paul.  II Peter 3: 15 - 16  15) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; 16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.  This scripture by Peter fits perfectly with I Corinthians 1:18  For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
